Current Weather Situation and Future Developments
A trough of low pressure will cross the region late afternoon or evening bringing isolated showers and thunderstorms. Milder conditions and isolated showers are expected on Monday in a moist easterly stream resulting from a developing ridge of high pressure to the south of the region. Winds will gradually turn northerly bringing fine and warmer conditions Tuesday onwards as a high pressure system develops over the central Tasman Sea. Further showers with possible thunderstorms are likely towards Friday and Saturday with the passage of another trough.

Forecast for Sunday evening
Isolated showers and the chance of thunderstorms clearing tonight. Fresh to strong and gusty northwesterly winds reaching gale force about the higher grounds, easing tonight.
