Welcome to the Bureau of Meteorology

You've worked hard for your tertiary qualification. Now it's time to take all that knowledge, put it into practice and kick-start a career you'll be proud of.
With around 1,400 dedicated staff in some 60 locations across Australia, the Bureau of Meteorology is Australia's national meteorological agency. We're involved in wide-ranging research, and provide important weather, climate, water information and oceanographic services.

Our surface, marine and aviation services span Australia and its surrounds: from the Antarctic to the equator, from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific. As well as weather and climate forecasts, we issue warnings relating to critical events such as cyclones, floods, tsunamis, bushfires and volcanoes, and maintain the nation's weather and water resource records. And behind all these services is an extensive observation network that is fundamental to everything we do.

Do something great for your future, join the Bureau of Meteorology.
